Believing the Promises of God - in His Word

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… Without weakening in his faith… Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. ~ Romans 4 [selected 18-21]

THE GREATEST GIFT

1 Corinthians 1:7
The Message (MSG)

Just think—you don't need a thing, you've got it all! All God's gifts are right in front of you as you wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale. And not only that, but God Himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus. God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of His Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.

Romans 3:21
The Message (MSG)
[ God Has Set Things Right ] But in our time something new has been added. What Moses and the prophets witnessed to all those years has happened. The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in Him. For there is no difference between us and them in this. Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity He put us in right standing with Himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where He always wanted us to be. And He did it by means of Jesus Christ. [emphasis added]

Oh, somebody needs to hear this today. The greatest gift that God has ever given us is HIMSELF!

Have you opened the Gift Box yet?

Choosing JOY,
Stephanie

His presence has been a rich gift to me in recent days. How thankful I am that he is ready and available as I take the time to come and sit before him with a heart wide open and ready to receive.

Yes, I needed to hear this today. Blessings to you in your weekend.

Stephanie, more and more the Message has truly brought God's truths to life in me. Just this morning I memorized 1 Cor. 15:10

check it out, it is like speaking to me...not gonna allow His grace to be wasted on me, I'm telling of His ALL. SHARING and a SPLASHIN...walking to Higher Grounds.

Lovingly,
Yolanda

Out of sheer generosity, yes indeed! We do not deserve it, but God so loved us that He gave us Jesus.

This can never be explained...only received.

Truly a precious gift. It spells the huge different between death and life.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and for your encouraging comments.
