Believing the Promises of God - in His Word

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… Without weakening in his faith… Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. ~ Romans 4 [selected 18-21]

Anointed-Transformed-Redeemed Girls!

ATRBBStsCRAZYGIRLS2010Snow

2 Samuel 6:14-15

14 David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, 15 while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.

2 Samuel 7:18-26

David's Prayer
18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said:
"Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that You have brought me this far? 19 And as if this were not enough in Your sight, O Sovereign LORD, You have also spoken about the future of the house of Your servant. Is this Your usual way of dealing with man, O Sovereign LORD ?

20 "What more can David say to You? For You know Your servant, O Sovereign LORD. 21 For the sake of Your word and according to Your will, You have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.

22 "How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like You, and there is no God but You, as we have heard with our own ears. 23 And who is like Your people Israel—the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for Himself, and to make a Name for Himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before Your people, whom You redeemed from Egypt?

24 You have established Your people Israel as Your very own forever, and You, O LORD, have become their God.

25 "And now, LORD God, keep forever the promise You have made concerning Your servant and his house. Do as You promised, 26 so that Your Name will be great forever. Then men will say, 'The LORD Almighty is God over Israel!' And the house of Your servant David will be established before You.

After six long snow-covered weeks of earnest digging 'Deeper Still' into God's Word our Monday night Bible Study Group ended with a Banquet Feast Celebration last night. The woman concluded one last page of writing to give account of all that God spoken, challenged, broken, forgiven, and healed in our time together. God amazed us with His Presence!

We take time in God's Word

Love my gals as well; we had a great time of fellowship last evening despite my weariness and pain from the day. We have two more weeks and then a break. I've really enjoyed being with them this time around.

Oh I wish I could have been at the table! How great is it to gather with friends in the word. The passage you used today is a favorite of mine. I can only imagine how David felt inside as He spoke these words to the Lord. God is great. hugs, b

ADDING THIS COMMENT I LEFT AT B HIS GIRL FOR YOU:

Wow, Stephanie, thanks for sharing your added thoughts about hiding in the church. Relationship is key. I'm afraid to think of those in church missing that. :( They miss the greatest joy I know.

Also, I so relate to how God speaks through everything the closer we are to Him. That's why I say "Stop, Look, and Listen." Because without a doubt HE IS NEAR, (song coming to me now)...whispering words of wisdom. LET IT B. LET IT B.

(WOW, that was cool!)

And Stephanie, I love how He came near to you through a flip book of business cards. Thank you, Jesus.

What a great love He has for us, His bride.

And. . .birds and feathers are one of the many ways God speaks to me too. My list is ever growing. So that everywhere I look I SEE Him. Love the adventure of walking with God.

Thanks for listening in and sharing. What a gift you left for us. I'm thankful for you!

Stephanie:

These pictures are such fun to see! You already know that I did this study also, and honestly, it still lingers... so many heart transforming truths. Above all, to me... 'chosen', not random selection, but chosen by God! That is life changing truth! Not new, but somehow more powerful this time around.

Thanks for sharing.

Love,

Sonja
