Believing the Promises of God - in His Word

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… Without weakening in his faith… Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. ~ Romans 4 [selected 18-21]

A NEW SEASON COMING!

SNOWDROPStsPerceiveIsaiah 43:15-19

15 I am the LORD, your Holy One,
       Israel's Creator, your King."

16 This is what the LORD says—
He who made a way through the sea,
a path through the mighty waters,

17 who drew out the chariots and horses,
       the army and reinforcements together,
and they lay there, never to rise again,
extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:

18 "Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
       and streams in the wasteland.
[emphasis added]

Philippians 3:13-14

SINGLESNOWDROPtsNewThingBrothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. [emphasis added]

These tiny white flowers [snow drops] appeared in my garden by the pond yesterday here at Shepherd's Walk. They reminded me of the 'newness of abundant life' that the Scriptures promise.

Are you perceiving the new season coming in your life? What does it hold for you? Where is God leading you after He has brought you out of a pit of despair or out of a great victory where He fought for you with His strength?

What is on your horizon?

Glory, praise and honor are here now because not too long ago, on the horizon was JOY! LOVE YOU! And I feel that on the horizon for me now will be restoration with and of my family. I don't know how long that horizon might be, but I'm believing Sweet Sister.

Moving forward, not looking back. God is so good to keep us focused on Him, no matter what the season and where we have been!
Blessings,

My Dear Friend,

You know what? This post now has me reflecting on so much as my mind has been reflecting somewhat in the past and all that my husband has forgotten due to his illness...but I need to look forward, to the newness in life and the wonderful things that He has stored up and is waiting to bless me(us) with. I(we) are still in the pit of despair but the Lord has been with us every step of the way and He is my(our) hope...AND HE WILL LEAD ME(US) OUT OF THE PIT...OH YES HE HAS MIGHTY THINGS IN STORE FOR ME(US).

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you dear friend for bringing these Scriptures into my heart and vision as they are shining brightly. They give me great strength in "straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Love you so much,
Alleluiabelle

I do percieve a new season - I know that seasons come and go. I know that I will not be in this season forever. But while I am in this season, I must learn all that He has for me to learn before He sends forth the new. I am here for a reason. He gives me glimmers of HOPE like your 'snow drops' - in anticipation of the new - but I must remain in the now a little bit longer. It is the HOPE of the new that keeps me grounded in my current season.

I do look back to remember how far I've come in the Lord. His mercies are indeed great and too marvelous to behold.

I have seen my Horizon in a dream....it speaks of abundant blessing and a vibrant testimony of RESTORATION!!

He has brought me out of my despair and fought many battles for me - He fight s for now - even in this season. I know that He is who He says that He is and I am convinced that He holds my next season in the palm of HIs hand as well!

He is my strength for today and my Hope for tomorrow! I just love Him, don't you? :)

Yes, a new season is coming. I can feel it in my bones, sister, deep down, knowing that God has a plan that's been spoken about in advance and how he's delighting in watching it unfold. May I keep obedient until God's all comes to pass.

Praise the Lord Stephanie! I'm not only perceiving the new season I'm in it and praising the LORD every step.

Believing GOD for His incredible divine touch over all of His people and that we continue to look up and look forward and love and serve Him with our whole hearts in every season of our lives.

Beautiful and powerful Word and message. Love the photos.

Blessings to you dear sister.

This is a timely verse for me....
I have walked through a difficult season at my church and I lost my beloved spiritual Dad on January 23,2010. I am in the process of letting go of Him and looking for what God wants to do in 2010. I am praying for a property to house a small counseling center. We'll see what God does. It is His and He will bring it pass.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

Blessings,
Tammy
