Believing the Promises of God - in His Word

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… Without weakening in his faith… Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. ~ Romans 4 [selected 18-21]

Thank Heaven for Little Girls?

Right around the time I found out last June, that my son and daughter-in-law were expecting their third child, God had this waiting for me. The doctors are fairly sure that the little one she is carrying is a girl!

Being 'Mom-Mom' to 7 boys and 1 girl has been a treasure. It's hard to imagine how you can love each one as if they were the only one - but you just do! I am blessed beyond measure with each one! And it is my job to pray for them to become 'mightly warriors for God's kingdom purposes'! I have a feeling that this next little girl will join the others as a 'strong warrior' in her own right!

My precious ones are Justin, Ethan, Collin / Drew, Tessa, Braden / Jyden, Malachi, #9 Baby Girl?

And to think I also have 8 more in heaven ~ waiting there to meet! My husband is blessed to care for them now. He will be gone 4 years this month! Having grandchildren helps me to keep going ~ and to keep his precious memory alive!

Praise God for the miracles He has done in our family! The Lord is forever faithful!

Psalm 22
27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before Him,
28 for dominion belongs to the LORD

and He rules over the nations.
29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;

all who go down to the dust will kneel before Him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Posterity will serve Him;

future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim His righteousness

to a people yet unborn— for He has done it.

Choosing GREAT JOY,
Stephanie

Well congratulations Gramma to be (again)! God has certainly kept your quiver full!

I hope you are doing well. Wish long distance didn't cost so much. Would love to give you a call. One day when I have a few more pennies. :)

Much love to you my friend! I hope all is well!

praise God indeed! And yes, what a privilege to be able to pray for them even in the mothers womb.

My own daughter was the only girl out of 9 grand kids in my parent's quiver :) she was loved by all. Still is!

hugs,

ps... tell Edie she can video chat for free on gmail if you both have a web cam. most new lap tops include them.

How wonderful Stephanie! We are just like you and the rest... these little ones light up our lives. We pray for ours too, and how they all need those prayers in this day and age!

I've said it many times, I STILL miss the prayers of my own parents. Now it is definitely our turn!

Hugs to you and 'your girls!'

You're granny to 8, and soon to be 9, grandchildren? They are really blessed to have a prayerful nana praying for them. I only have one grandson at the moment, but in a month's time, another one, also a boy, will be born.

Congratulations dear Stephanie.

Sharing your joy...

Congratulations to you, your son, daughter-in-law and the whole family! Great news.

And thank you for the very nice and detailed comment you left on the "For Husbands" post on Family Fountain. Your words were encouraging. I didn't know how that post would go over, but I think it was fairly well received. Thank you.

You have a rich heritage in your family, Stephanie, and God has called you to leave your mark, his legacy, on each one of them! They are blessed beyond understanding to have such a woman of faith investing in them as you do.

They rise and called you blessed, now and one day soon. You have no idea how much your obedience and faithfulness are yielding for the kingdom. I can't wait to sit with you and our Father and see the rewind of your life and all the times you got it right, sister.

I love you.

Shalom to you this day.

Thanks for all your encouraging comments here. I am indeed blessed. I made many wrong choices for selfish reasons for too many years - most cannot be undone. But God promises to 'restore the years the locusts have eaten' and also to 'rebuild, renew and restore' that which the enemy says is too far devastated.

I'm replacing those lies the enemy tells ~ with the TRUTH of
God's Word and trusting God to do the work of restoration among my family.[Is. 61:4]

Love you all, Stephanie

Stephanie,

As a Grandma so far to two precious grand girls I can say I feel your heart for your grand kids!!! Congratulations on the baby girl to arrive! Blessings over all of your grand children.

May the comfort of the Lord be with you as you keep your husband's memory alive. It's a blessing to know that he is with the Lord caring for your other 8 precious ones until you get there and then all of you will rejoice in HIM together.

Much love and blessings. I did a little reading on your blog and enjoyed!Great "Love" series!
