Believing the Promises of God - in His Word

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… Without weakening in his faith… Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. ~ Romans 4 [selected 18-21]

THE FULLNESS OF GRACE

John 1:16-18
From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given though Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made Him known.
***********
Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
************************************
2 Corinthians 4:15
All this for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
***************************
Jonah 2:8
Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.
***************************
Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith---- and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
***************************
2 Corinthians 13:14
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
*******************************
Will we ever truly know of the cost of our redemption?
Will we ever understand GRACE?
************************
GRACE =
God giving us what we did not deserve
= Eternal Life.
************************
From a Puritan Prayer:
I have no robe to bring to cover my sins,
no loom to weave my own righteousness;
I am always standing clothed
in filthy garments,
and by GRACE am always receiving
change of raiment,
for Thou does always justify the ungodly;
I am always going into the far country,
and always returning home as a prodigal,
always saying, "Father, forgive me,
and Thou art always
bringing forth the best robe."
****************************************
What does GRACE mean to you - this day?

Hi Stephanie! Thanks so much for your words today on my post. I appreciate your encouragement.

I love this post on grace. Grace to me means always being free to come to Him.... no matter what. Always.

Stephanie - this is awesome today!

Grace is my Savior giving me what I can never deserve. Grace is Jesus reaching down and touching me. Grace is Life.

Loved the puritan prayer! Thanks for sharing this powerful message. Praise the LORD for HIS GRACE. Couldn't live without it -- without HIM.

Blessings!

How true of my life. And while my wandering is less these days (at least in spiritual distance), I still have moments of choosing the swine pods over the lavish feast of heaven.

Thank God for his grace that covereth--simply covereth.

Love you, friend. I can read your blog now since switching my server to firefox mozilla.
