Believing the Promises of God - in His Word

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed… Without weakening in his faith… Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. ~ Romans 4 [selected 18-21]

PREEMINENT - I want THAT

Matthew 7:13-14
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. [emphasis added]

F.B. Meyer wrote:

In all His people Christ is Present.
In some of His people Christ is Prominent.
In a few of His people Christ is PREEMINENT.

I don't know about you, but I want to live a life where Christ is Preeminent. That's the kind of life that He desires for us so that He can rule and reign and bring forth victory and abundant blessings - even in the struggles of everyday life.

The definition of "Preeminent" is:
outstanding; superior; eminent above and before others; surpassing; first and foremost

I desire for Christ to be 'IT' in my life. How about you? This world is not about us - it's all about HIM! What will it take to get there?
ASK - He'll show you... SEEK - you'll find it... KNOCK and you can be one of the 'few'!

Yes, I want preeminent.

Thank you for sharing. Also, red is my favorite color, my front door is red too. Love that this door has Jesus above it.

Great to stop in and visit your blog.

Have a great day,

Tiffany

This is AWESOME!
Reminds me of a sermon my husband preached once about the difference between being "committed" to Christ and being "surrendered" to Christ. One involves 'me,' while the other involves none of 'me' and all of 'CHRIST.'
Preeminent: same thing!
AMEN to this.
LOVE! that photo!

FYI:
Several of you have asked about this photo of the red doors. I took this picture in 2007. I LOVE doors and doorways and especially church doors... and all the more if they are RED! These are the church doors of a tiny little church [100+ years old] in Pemberton, NJ - about 45 minutes north of where I live.

It is filled with magnificent stained glass windows that I also photographed and are shown on other older posts on this blog.

They truly are spectacular doors - and their [blood] red color goes right along with the story above them: JESUS SAVES!

I'm trying to make Christ the center of my life.

I think that an easy way to check yourself is think ahead to what would be said about you after you pass on to GLORY!

I know right now people would say that "she never got over the loss of Joshua."

Maybe you gal's can help me see Jesus more clearly, than just being able to see our loss here on earth. \
