Last week a seven of us from part of our Bible study group traveled to NYC on Tuesday night , October 6th, to visit the Brooklyn Tabernacle. As we crossed the Verrazano Bridge into Brooklyn - passing the Statue of Liberty on our left, God painted this picture in the sky for all of us to enjoy. We scrambled for our cameras but the living color that God displayed among the clouds was changing before our eyes. All we could do was PRAISE our God for His handiwork with the colors [like a rainbow] that looked like a feather in the sky.
Psalm 91:4
He Will Cover you with His Feathers and Under His wings you will find Refuge; His Faithfulness will be your Shield and Rampart.
We had just finished up our Bible study by Jim Cymbala, Pastor and founder of the Tabernacle. The study was entitled: When God's People Pray. I highly recommend this study which is video driven along with a small workbook. Each session takes more than one hour to go through with discussion and prayer. The testimonies on the videos are tremendous and show what happens when God's people call upon the name of the Lord.
The main thrust of Scripture that the study is based on is from:
Genesis 4:25-26
25 Adam lay with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, "God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him." 26 Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began to call on the Name of the LORD.

Here is a picture of some of us except the one who took the picture of us in the lower level of the Brooklyn Tabernacle. Actually - this is the sitting room just outside the bathroom!
From left to right: seated: Cheri, Gena, Elaine, Donna. Standing: Stephanie and Mary. Taking our photo is Barbi [from our Daniel study].
